Hi,
I’m Monica. I’m excited to have you here. I am an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and 500®yoga instructor with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Communication in the San Francisco Bay Area. My health journey began 26 years ago when despite dedicating up to two hours a day to working out, I was not achieving the results I desired. It was at that point that in addition to my exercise, I focused on my diet, started eating healthier, and the results started to come. My body became more toned, and my performance increased at every level. The feeling I got from obtaining my goals inspired me to want to help others.
After more than 15 years of working in the music industry, I decided to switch my attention to my family while still pursuing my passion for nutrition, physical fitness, and wellness. In 2017 I became a certified health coach at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Through my studies and personal experience, I realized that what worked for me didn’t necessarily work for others. I acknowledged how unique we are and how as individuals we have different needs and stories. There is no formula but the individual approach to each person to increase their health and wellness.
Through my health coaching practice, I offer an individualized approach to my client’s goals. I hold them accountable to improve their health and find balance in their lives including nutrition, physical activity, careers, and relationships. I have found that having a diet based on whole foods will improve overall health and the benefits ripple into every aspect of your life.
My yoga journey brings me overall joy. Being able to connect breath and movement helps me to stay present and mindful as a teacher and a practitioner. I love to make yoga accessible to everyone. Yoga is one of my passions and I love to guide people meeting them where they are and helping them go deeper into their practice, listening to their own bodies.
I have always been passionate about finding balance in my lifestyle and I focus on that every day. I love music, nature, meditation, hikes, healthy delicious food, adventures, and travel.
